Twelve Architects celebrate anniversary with Proekt stage approval for Rostov-on-Don Airport, Russia

The new Rostov on Don airport has been granted Proekt, full approval for the design to move ahead to construction. The news was announced as enabling works on site to prepare transport and utilities infrastructure got underway.

Commenting on the design development, Twelve Architects’ Director Matt Cartwright said: “We are delighted to have gained the milestone of a building permit and that the approved scheme is absolutely aligned with our original concept.”

Twelve Architects invited to present at The Education Estates Conference, Manchester, UK

Matt Cartwright, Director of Twelve Architects joined other expert speakers from a range of professional organisations, Universities, and Funding Agencies to share best practice, advice and knowledge.
The Education Estates Conference focused on the design, build, management, maintenance and funding of education facilities. It is the only UK event to bring together the multiple organisations involved in the design to delivery of schools, colleges and universities projects.
Attendees to Education Estates Conference included Estates & Facilities Directors, Heads of Education, Local Authorities, Consultants, Contractors, Governors, Advisors, Head Teachers and the education supply chain.

We have had two of our projects selected for the Architecture Tomorrow exhibition that will take place in the Architecture Pavilion. The curated gallery represents the future of British architecture.

Twelve Architects invited to present at The Trade Delegation of the Russian Federation in the United Kingdom.

The conference entitled ‘Progressive experience and new possibilities of business development’ was held on the 18th of August at the Russian Trade Delegation in London. It was organised in collaboration with the Russian Center of Business Cooperation. The aim of the event was to develop UK-Russian business projects and enhance the bilateral relations.

A group of Russian businessmen including representatives from 15 construction companies from 11 regions of Russia attended. The Presentations that were made allowed the Russian companies to learn more about the British market and new technologies in the construction sector. The British companies were introduced to information about Russian trends and perspective projects.

Twelve Architects scoop a double selection for the Architecture Tomorrow 2014 exhibition at MIPIM UK.

Rostov-on-Don Airport has been selected in the Export Architecture category and The Diamond, The University of Sheffield has been selected in the University buildings category. The exhibition organisers confirmed that the quality of entries submitted were of a very high standard so being curated twice is a great achievement.

The Architecture Tomorrow Gallery, curated by The Architects’ Journal, will be showcased as part of the Architecture Tomorrow Pavilion MIPIM UK, 15-17 October, Olympia London.

‘Twelve Architects start work to upgrade a teaching block for The University of Surrey

Twelve Architects has commenced work to extend and alter of an existing 845 person teaching block on the University’s Stag Hill Campus.

The new facility is due to be open in the summer of 2016.

‘The future development of Ulaanbaator, Mongolia’ – Twelve Architects invited to speak at The Mongolian British Chamber of Commerce

Matt Cartwright, Director of Twelve Architects joined an expert panel at the Mongolian-British Chamber of Commerce (MBCC) event in London on Thursday 5th June to present on Twelve Architects recent visit to Ulaanbaator with the UKTI, the practices ongoing prospects in Mongolia and the challenges and opportunities for the future development of Ulaanbaator.

The reception was attended by Mongolian Ambassador to the UK, members of MBCC and invited Mongolian and British businesses.

Alliance carpark and retail is taking shape 

Alliance carpark and retail is starting to take shape as these pictures show.

Development of the site is well underway and should be completed by the end of the year. Ground works have been finished on schedule and main contractor have taken delivery of the specialist concrete work that will form the building itself.

Twelve Architects welcomed the progress on the site.

We will be attending the Passenger Terminal Expo 2014

Alex Bitus, Head of Transport at Twelve Architects will be attending Passenger Terminal Expo (PTX) in Barcelona, Spain on 25-27 March 2014 and he would be delighted to meet with you.

Passenger Terminal Expo is a fantastic show to meet clients and network with other companies in the industry.

Twelve Architects are currently working on a number of aviation proposals and are currently completing the design for Rostov On Don International & Domestic terminal.

Twelve Architects & Masterplanners secure regeneration project in outer London, United Kingdom

We have been appointed for a 330,000 sqft town centre re-development and regeneration project in outer London. The scheme will accommodate of a retail mall, community library and residential development.

The design stage commenced in January 2014.
