Twelve shortlisted for British Expertise International Award.

New Airport “Platov” in Rostov on Don, Russia, designed by Twelve Architects has been shortlisted in the “International Architecture & Design Project” category for British Expertise International Awards 2018

Twelve’s Matt and Alex attended the event.

The winner will be announced in March next year.

Platov airport began operations

The first flights arrived at Rostov-On-Don new airport today 18th November 2017. The terminal was designed and delivered by Twelve Architects.

The new airport has been named ‘Platov’ in honour of Matvei Platov, who was a Russian general who commanded the Don Cossacks.

Platov Airport is the first new international airport to be built in Russia’s modern era.

For the past three and a half years, Twelve Architects have designed the new terminal, from winning the international competition all the way through to construction, via its site-based expert team.

Alex Bitus, Head of Transport at Twelve said: “Our real measure of success is whether Platov comes to be rated by passengers as one of the Russia’s best airport terminals for years to come.”

Sutton Court Residential Development reaches completion

The scheme for Inspired Homes UK transforms a former 1960s office building into a stunning new residential development comprising of 82 apartments. The building has been stripped back to retain the structure. Two additional floors have been added and a new facade with integrated balconies redefines it’s appearance.

Delighted to secure Twelve’s first project with London South Bank University.

The Passmore Centre will create a new hub for apprentices and employers. It will accommodate new teaching facilities, social and events space, meeting rooms and staff offices.

Twelve gets go ahead for major retail scheme in Ekaterinburg

Twelve Architects has been granted approval from the City Administration of Ekaterinburg for a 120,000m2 retail mall, which forms a key part of the regeneration and expansion of the city.

Twelve’s £30m Bodmin Jail Hotel & Museum gains unanimous Planning Permission & Listed Building Consent

The vision for the jail is to return this much understated heritage asset of national importance to its former glory, and in so doing make it a leading visitor attraction, venue, hotel and teaching facility for local schools and universities that gives back to Bodmin, Cornwall and the UK.

Twelve’s Sutton Residential Development wins one more award

Sutton Court Residential Development has been highly commended in the ‘Best First Time Buyer Home’ category at the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2017

The awards ceremony took place on Friday at The Dorchester on Park Lane, hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan and presented by Team GB hockey star Kate Richardson-Walsh. Sutton Court was entered for Best First-Time Buyer Home and came runner-up in this year’s category.

The judges commented that Sutton Court “used ‘out of the box’ thinking to get people on the property ladder.”

The project has been highly commended for most innovative redevelopment of an existing property at the 2017 First Time Buyer Magazine Awards.

The scheme for Inspired Homes UK transforms a former 1960s office building into a stunning new residential development comprising of 82 apartments. The building has been stripped back to retain the structure. Two additional floors have been added and a new facade with integrated balconies redefines it’s appearance.

The scheme will be completed in the next few months.

We will be attending the Passenger Terminal Expo 2017

Alex Bitus, Head of Transport at Twelve Architects will be attending Passenger Terminal Expo (PTX) in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 14-15 March 2017 and he would be delighted to meet with you.

Passenger Terminal Expo is a fantastic show to meet clients and network with other companies in the industry.

Twelve Architects are currently working on a number of aviation proposals and are currently completing the design for Rostov On Don International & Domestic terminal.

Twelve attend Ecobuild 2017 Exhibition at Excel London

Mark Eden and Irina Adam represented Twelve at this years Ecobuild.

Irina particularly enjoyed the research presentations on innovative materials by the BRE Academy. Some of the research topics included bio-based construction materials, materials for improving air-quality, and the development of low carbon technologies.

Mark concentrated this time around some of the key Infrastructure debates held by the ICE. Particularly enjoying a key talk on the sustainable growth of airports. Some of the key topics including how to deliver maximum benefits from existing capacity, Improving surface access and cross modal connectivity, and improving the whole life carbon management for airport sites.
