A 40,000m2 luxury residential development with panoramic city views.
The scheme creates a cluster of 3 new buildings within the courtyard of an existing industrial building that will also be refurbished into residential accommodation. Part of the existing building will be demolished to open up the centre of the site to views of the city pond. The new buildings step up in height from the embankment and are positioned to maximise the views to and from the development.
The development regenerates the external space adjacent to the city pond by replacing the existing cul-de-sac road and landscape with a new plaza that connects the development to the embankment. At ground level a series of new boutiques, restaurants, bars & cafes will be located. These will create a new destination within the city.
Our concept for the external appearance is inspired by ‘gold’ and ‘stone’. Gold was first discovered in Russia in the river close to Ekaterinburg. This precious metal became a major part in the financial development and trade within the region. As a result, the gold industry transformed the city from predominantly timber buildings into ornate stone buildings.
